How to get here:
Bundoran Farm is in central Virginia in the United States,
which is in North America, just south of Canada and north
of old Mexico.
By Car from Charlottesville: From Interstate 64 (Exit
118A) follow US 29 South 9.0 miles; turn right on to State
Route 692 (Plank Road) and go 2.0 miles; turn right onto State
Route 696 (Edge Valley Road) for 1 mile to Bundoran Farm.
Entrance on left.
By Car from the Shenandoah Valley,
go east on Interstate 64 (Exit 99) follow US 250 East on top
of Afton Mountain, then down the East side of the mountain
on US 250 to State Route 692 (Plank Road). Turn right on State
Route 692, go to Batesville, then 3.0 more miles. Left on
to State Route 696 (Edge Valley), go 1.0 mile, then left up
the Bundoran entrance.
Fred Scott's's house is one-quarter mile up
the driveway, then turn ninety degrees to your right at the
flagpole. It is a Federal building with double-deck front
porch under very large oaks. The wagon barn is hidden behind
the house. The farm shop and cattle sale barn are one-quarter
mile up the driveway, then turn forty-five degrees to your
right at the flagpole.
BY AIRLINE: to Charlottesville, VA (CHO) (20 miles)
or the Staunton-Harrisonburg Airport (SHD) (35 miles). Richmond
VA (RIC) is 120 miles as is Washington-Dulles (IAD)
BY PRIVATE AIRCRAFT: with prior permission only - and
ONLY with an executed waiver
of liability - we may allow limited access to the private
airstrip here at Bundoran Farm: Identifier: VA18 (Bundoran
Airport) located North 37 degrees 58.02'; West 078 degrees
40.87'. It's 3000ft long, smooth grass, inclined, curved and
100' wide. CALL FRED FIRST !!!!
